I have a 1977 Lance that has a cracked wing rib and I am having a terrible time finding one. It is the left hand wing number 2 rib and I believe the part number to be 38218-00. Any help in finding one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know if they supply just ribs, but for new airframe components, Williams is my first choice. I bought new stabilator trim tabs from them, very easy to deal with and high quality.

Have you tried Aviall? I've had really good luck finding OEM piper sheet metal parts from them, in stock. Not inexpensive, but in stock.

Ok thanks. I will give them a try tomorrow. The people at airframes were very friendly but did not have the part I need. So the search continues. The FBO doing the work for me recommendeds that if I can not find one soon then they can have an engineer draw up the paperwork to have the old one fixed. Might have to go that route after all. It is just a much more expensive way of doing it tho.

Just checked Aviall online, they are showing a 90+ day lead time (which means they call up Piper and ask them to make one...)

Hopefully someone else in the US will have one on the shelf or you get a serviceable one from one of the repair shops already recommended.
