Bouncing around ideas for a second NAV/COM in my basic 67 VFR Cherokee 140. I can't quite justify the cost of a Garmin 430 but depending on cost, I may go the way of adding a second radio and CDI. My most need is the second COMM, as its a PIA to obtain ATIS while #1 comm is tied up with ATC as I generally obtain flight following on my X-countries. Anyone have an estimate on the cost to install a second comm with CDI? Another option I suppose is a inexpensive hand held would suffice. Heck, they even have ILS capability for an emergency
