Out of pure curiosity yesterday I checked the Vref estmate for my 1978 Arrow III. I realize that GIGO pertains to the overall estimate Vref calculates. I expected a high $ number given the skyrocketing of today's aircraft prices, especially since Covid. But I was astounded to see a "base" price estimate (before I added in my rather dated avionics, etc.) of $135,405! (My own Arrow's total came in at a much higher $ after the "add-ons"). Is this realistic for a 45 yr old PA28R, even in today's market? This sounds like Monopoly money, although my ancient brain still remembers when NYC subways cost 25 cents (Note: my computer keyboard doesn't even have the keypad symbol for cents).
