I have a lightly used Minimax Piper Tug for sale. It was purchased in 2018 with the Dewalt drill option, which means it is powered by a 20V Dewalt battery pack. This is very convenient, compared to some other electric tug plug-in-to-charge options. It is highly maneuverable and is designed for pushing the plane backwards into a hangar or parking spot.
It includes the following features:
- compatible with Piper wheel pants
- speedy mover wheels (for rolling around without using electric drive function)
- tire chains (never used)
- and perhaps - Piper tow plate (never used, but may have misplaced due to disuse)
Photos and the description of this tug by the manufacturer can be found at Piper PA-28, PA-32 Cherokee & PA-20 Colt Wheel Pants Aircraft Tug
A recent video of this tug pushing my Dakota is available. It was too large to upload. Message me for the link.
This tug is weighty, but portable - I can lift it up to truck/trunk height - and could be shipped at cost. I'm in the Chicagoland area, and I would be willing to deliver it within a <2 hour drive of the northwest suburbs. New, this tug sells for ~$1700 (with chains) and ships unassembled. If you are interested, please make an offer. Thanks!
