Hi All,

Just wondering.... I know lycoming turbo blankets are $1000 for each one for the TIO 540 engines. Just curious, car turbo blankets can go to 1800 degrees F with up to 2,000 or 3,000F temporarily okay. Anyone ever tried one of these in lieu of the lycoming ones? I know these are not FAA PMA, but in my mind was just wondering.

Thanks in advance

Remy
