I just completed extensive maintenance and avionics upgrade on my new-to-me '73 Turbo Aztec, and now I'm ready to get my twin rating in it. I think I can find some local instructor-talent to get me legal, but I constantly read about the need for periodic refresher training. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly - yesterday I did some high-speed taxi tests, went back to the pumps for fuel, and had a helluva time hot-starting. Any recommendations there? It gets pretty hot here in southern VA, but I'm sure people fly the TIO-540 C1A engine in the tropics, so there must be a magic combination. By the way, the engines have 24 new fine-wire plugs.
