Greetings!

I have wide deck Lycoming TIO-540-C1A powered plane and am looking for a part. Lycoming says it is a Piper part and Piper (through Aviall) insists the part is Lycoming. I'm starting to feel like a ping pong ball.

Anyway, the part is a reducer bushing that screws into a boss on the "Pipe, Exhaust (cylinders #4 & #6)". This particular bushing accepts another reducer bushing that accepts the EGT (TIT) probe. As luck would have it, while trying to remove the original bushing it broke. And now we cannot find a replacement or even a part number.

I'd be grateful for any suggestion about how we might identify the part and find a replacement. Thanks.
