Greetings,
I recently acquired a 1967 Cherokee 180 with bowtie yokes. It has an electric trim switch that was electrical taped into place. It looks like it had screws that stripped and that the previous owner just jury rigged it. I'd like to do better. I could possibly do bigger screws but I'm afraid to drill the pilot hole in a yoke causing some sort of not airworthy condition. Is there any creative clamp mounts or can I can use or just the next size screw?

I'd conside also upgrading the switch also but they are ridiculously priced. Like $400+ for a simple switch.

Input appreciated.

Pic for clarity of yoke and switch type.

Thanks,

Mike
