I just got a call from the widow of my A&P friend that died. She's ready to start selling off his tools and wanted to give me first choice. For the A&P's and those of you that work on your aircraft, any comments on what tools you find most useful? I'm at an airport where there is no mechanic on the field, so I'm trying to pick up things that will help me maintain my certified aircraft a couple more years for those times someone comes to the field to do some work. Then build/maintain an experimental in the future.

I have the common sets of socket, combination wrenches and screwdrivers already. I'm thinking I might see about a torque wrench or two, differential compression tester, mag timer, and maybe a set of stubby and/or angled wrenches. He wasn't a Snap-On type guy, but he had older Craftsman stuff from when it was the brand to have. I also know he had some original Pratt & Whitney tools and so forth, but I'm not sure a R-2800 is in my future. :) What else should I be on the lookout for?
