Tip tanks for PA28-181?

I would love some extra range on my PA28-181. Has anybody ever installed the tip tanks from a Dakota or Cherokee 6 in a standard PA28 with an STC or similar?

I would have thought that the smaller engine 180 Horsepower compared to larger engines would make it safer relating to spin recovery (less momentum). So presumably as long as weight and balance are adjusted perhaps there would not be too many issues to get this approved?

Any comment welcome!
