For a PA28-140 in the 28-73xxxx series, I'm seeing a part #67639-08 for a throttle cable in the PC.

Also some sort of adapter kit, which references a Piper service letter that I haven't been able to find.

This cable doesn't fit my plane, is the adapter kit listed in the PC what I need to adapt it? The current cable has a slotted ferrule that slides into a fork on a steel bracket on the engine mount. The above part number has a much larger ferrule without a slot to match up with the bracket/fork. Or do I need a different PN for a throttle cable?

My mechanic has over 50 years and a lot of GA experience but it's been many, many years since he had to work on a throttle cable on a Cherokee......
