howdy folks, have a 2 year old drain valve that continues to leak despite cleaning the junk out of it a couple of times. the other one is probably original equipment, and has never leaked! so maybe the new stuff is crap. got this new one from Airward, so i went back to their site, as well as a few others, to try and find a good part number to source another new one.
the piper parts catalogue indicates 2 piper p/n's, 492-312 (non locking) and 491-806 (locking). found a picture of one of those on some site, and it didn't look like what i have at all.
the Curtis application chart lists every cherokee EXCEPT PA28-180 as taking CCA-1550 (which it says is piper part number 492-022). The CCA-1550 I believe is what Airward sold me a couple of years ago.
if someone can point me in the right direction for a quality fuel drain, i'd sure appreciate it! thx!
