Temp removal of rear seats

I fly a 1979 Archer and was wanting to remove the rear seats for a weekend camping trip - I thought as the seats were designed to be removed easy it would not be a problem but someone told me that removing the seats would invalidate the flight unless there was a new weight and balance calculated.

True or false ?
