Couple of questions:
I don't seem to understand, and it's never been sufficiently explained to me, WHY we use TAS instead of Ground Speed and WHY we use knots instead of MPH.
I see IAS as a good "am I going to stall or not?" indicator, but for flight planning or what have you, to me, I always use Ground Speed and MPH.
Can anyone explain these for me please?
