I was suspicious when I received a phone call telling me that I won the drawing for the Tail Wheel Training I registered for at Sun N Fun.
For the last couple of days and finishing tomorrow I've been flying a Champ out of Winter Haven airport with an instructor named Tris. He's a good instructor and the training has been illuminating if not downright exciting at times. I never knew a plane could go around and around and around like that. Trust me! It can!
The training has been excellent and everything has been free as it was advertised. There haven't even been any veiled attempts to sell me materials or sign me up for anything. "Tailwheel Training and Etc" is on the same airport as Jack Browns Sea Plane base, but its a bit dryer.
They have done a great job with me and even threw in my BFR for free too. You can't beat that with a stick and the instruction has been excellent. I have gone through training for private, instrument, commercial single, and commercial multi and this has been on a par with the best, except at one point I got a bit dizzy - around and around and around and ...
