Based on comments I have read elsewhere, I am considering modifying my start-up and run-up procedure as follows:

Start engine on LOWEST tank.
Switch to FULLEST tank prior to runup.

The objective, of course, is to confirm that the fuel tank switch is operating properly and the fuel lines aren't clogged. My question, though, is whether the tank switch just prior to runup affords enough time for the engine to konk out prior to takeoff if, in fact, there is a problem with the fuel line or the tank switch.
