I have a PA32 with the AC option so alternator belt failure is always in the back of my mind. Anyone know what happens with Surefly if I lose the alterntor? I would assume I would run on battery for as long as the battery lasts? However, would that also reduce the amount of backup power for radios etc? How much current would the Surefly draw? I guess I could turn it off and use the right engine driven mag only if necessary but adding that to a power failure in flight especially if at night or in IMC may be stressful.
