Strut disassembly chrome from aluminum elbow

So I can’t find any instructions on how to remove the chrome steel piece from the aluminum elbow housing from strut to wheel interface.

No one will chrome it without removing it to just bare steel/chrome.

Do you have to heat the assembly and somehow unscrew or rotate the shaft out?
