I have a 1962 Cherokee 160 with a starter button. According to the POH, the correct starting technique is to press the starter button, let the prop turn one revolution and then turn the ignition switch to the left mag position.

I understand why starting on the left mag is important, but is there any reason not to turn the ignition switch to the left mag position first and then press the starter button? Is there any harm in doing it this way?
