I have an oil analysis done at each oil change. Silicon levels are usually above “normal.” I watched a Savvy Aviation video yesterday about oil analysis and it was mentioned that unfiltered air getting to the engine can cause this and to check the air filter, hoses, alternate air door, etc. High silicon levels will lead to higher metal content for iron, aluminum, and so on and, I think I’m seeing this trend. I have the serviceable air filter that you remove, clean and oil. It seems to be sealing fine and I found no other areas where leaks could occur. Anyone have any similar experience? Can some of you share what type of air filter you use?
Thanks,
Alan
