A Piper PA34-200T was brought in for a 100H Inspection. The standard forward facing seats in the Seneca were not locked in place! All four of the cabin seats did not have the lock latch screw turned so that the screw slot would be oriented fore and aft. Instead, the screw slots were sideways, in the unlocked position. With the screw slots sideways the locking spring wires are held outwards out of the locking grooves in the pins on the bottom of the seat frames.
I have attached photos, note that the photo with the screwdriver in the lock screw is crosswise and that the locking spring wires are barely visible. The other photo shows the lock screw slot oriented fore & aft with the locking spring wires in view.
I'm surprised there isn't a placard to remind us all to ensure the seats are locked in position with the proper screw slot orientation.
Other Piper models may have the same seat locking device, please check your cabin seats on your next preflight.
