I read this pdf on FAA Ramp checks --

However, I'd love some help understanding the rules. The documents says, "Each safety belt restraint system or separate sub-assembly must be marked in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Section 21.607 (d), except that the rated strength of the safety belt restraint system shall be shown and the date of manufacture is required in lieu of the optional marking requirements of Section 21.607 (d) (3)."
However, it doesn't look like older airplanes have to have a TSO tag: "New models of safety belts that are to be so identified and that are manufactured on or after the date of this TSO"
Am I right? Can someone explain the seatbelt TSO tag requirements in plain English?
Also, what is the 10 year rule? Thanks!
