I've had long term problems with the seat rails in my '72 Cherokee 180. Over the years I've tried different lubricants (Teflon, light oils, grease) but none seem to do too much good. I've sanded the rails with minor improvements but it doesn't last long. If I'm seated using my weight to move they are functional, if not very smooth. But when I try to move the unoccupied passenger front seat when getting in or out the rails are a real pain.

I'm wondering is someone out there has a more creative fix.
