My pilot shoulder belt on my Arrow has stopped retracting, it only goes in one direction: out. My mechanic says the cheapest replacement he can find, for a single shoulder belt, is nearly $3000!!! This is beyond ridiculous, even for aircraft prices. Anyone have a source for a replacement (such as automotive) that would work?

BTW, Don't bother preaching me about STC/PMA etc...when you charge $3000 for a $50 automotive part, STC is BS in my book.
