Hello, on my Cherokee 140 the TCDS says that the minimum static RPM is 2275. That is what I get. My understanding is that if I get that RPM, my engine is making power.

Is there a situation where I would get a higher RPM? Or, is it all due to the pitch of the propeller?

Inquiring minds want to know from the experts here.

Thanks,

Steve
