OK, this question is for my wife's 172. Sorry. She has the 180HP upgrade (O-360) and a powerflow exhaust. The Marvel Schebler adjusted the carb for the powerflow. The plane runs fine full rich and full throttle on takeoff. However, when you pull back to cruise there are wide swings in RPM. After leaning, it runs fine. So, seems to be running rich.

Any recommendations for adjustment other than removing the carb and sending it back to MS for adjustment? BTW, I get a really big drop in RPM during runup when I apply carb heat (maybe 250 or 300 RPM). Not sure if that is related.

All of this is after OH of the engine. So, this is a new carb.
