Finally found an avionics shop with a good reputation that seems more interested in having my business than unrestricted access to my checking account. The guy told me that I could remove my ADF with my A&P (Something im fairly sure my A&P would let me do) and my A&P is going to need to fabricate a plate for the antenna hole on the belly. The phone conversation was quick and I didn't pick up everything he was saying but did figure out that removing this antenna would be a PITA. Any suggestions or things to watch out for? I got my wheel in today and can't say enough good things about Larry at Cherokee Aircraft Salvage, the weather is nasty here and it seems like a good time to start this project.
