Record snowfall in Ottawa

As of this morning, it because official that January 2019 is the snowiest January in recorded Ottawa history (beating out 1999). We've had about a metre (almost 3 1/2 feet) of snowfall, with virtually no thaw.

I will continue to envy the hangar owners until March, and which point I'll revert to being perfectly happy keeping the plane outside and saving hundreds of $$$ every month. Right now, I'm finishing clearing the snow in my driveway, then I'll go back later this week and move another couple of tonnes at the airport with my trusty snow scoop.

I'm not going to give up on winter flying, whatever Mother Nature throws at us (besides, it saves on a gym membership).
