I guess the parents of these Young Eagles assumed the guy taking their kids up had a clue about flying. Can anyone explain why once he had essentially crashed along side the runway that he tried to go back up again? I have known several guys who though they got a PPL really had no aptitude for operating machines and seemed total klutzs in everthing they did. Finally after damaging planes the insurance companies demanded some remedial training and they instead quit flying., probaly ultimately saving theirs and some other lives.
