Reading thru this Paul Bertorelli article, a question came to mind. In a situation like SnF or Airventure where the ATC frequency is blocked and you are unable to get thru on the regular frequency, would it be appropriate to transmit on 121.5 if circumstances required you to respond "unable"? The alternative might be to disregard the instruction and that might cause a conflict if it was done without ATC being aware.
