Primer diverter valve failure

Any aircraft with these Continental engines needs to be sure that the primer diverter valve is removed. Failure of this valve will cause the engine to quit cold losing all power.

A friend of mine lost his engine at 600 feet and crashed. The plane was damaged beyond repair. Fortunately he was only injured slightly.
