It's been sitting for about 2 years, but not before being ridden hard, and put up wet, many times. It's had an annual inspection and sign off, every year though. But this year it went to a different shop, and what we found will turn it into one of those $10k annuals that ya'll hear about. We've never seen this airplane before, so every panel, and what all has been removed, for a thorough inspection. Only found two major things, #3 and #2 cylinders on left engine. The rest are normal MX items that have not been performed in 20+/- years. The hydraulics are shot, the stabilator trim is seized, tach cable is broken, and appears has been broken for some time. Everything behind the nacelles is well lubricated with all the oil from the engines. The vacuum filters have a date written on them 6/11. Of course the nacelles have to be opened up to access those. Yet the owner is more concerned about the A/C not working.
