So I just purchased my first plane. A 1987 Piper Dakota. Im trying to make sure I have my ducks in a row ( one to make sure im legal but also in anticipation of my PPL check ride ). The plane came with an operations manual but not the original POH. It has a recent W and B in the plane but not an equipment list of any kind. Should I contact piper to try and get a manual for my exact serial number that includes equipment list that was type certified and has a KOEL? Do I need to have an A and P put together a new W and B with an uptodate equipment list? Thanks
