I came across a '81 Warrior II, basic panel and reasonably clean plane. It felt rather a little large after owning a Cherokee 140 and a Tomahawk in the past. But I have no friends who ever had any experience with a Warrior II or even with someone who owned one.

Is anybody here can tell me what is the flight characteristics of the Warrior II models compared to other Cherokees with Hershey bar wings and does that 160HP engine is sufficient for an acceptable performance?

My Cherokee 140 had 150hp upgrade and it was ok. It was not a great performer but did reasonably well for my needs.

If you can please give me any pointers what to expect, pros and cons of this specific model I'd appreciate.

I will be flying locally here in CA and my local airport Alt is 120'msl. Areas I fly mostly flat agricultural land all around here and mostly on the coast of CA with most airports alt at less then 100'msl.

So other than the density altitude in hot summer days (inland) I don't have much issues effecting the performance negatively. Please keep that in mind.
