Anyone here know anything about the aft cabin lower latch assembly on the ‘79 and up pa32. My lower catch works perfect when actuated from the inside. However the outside handle fails to actuate it until about 1/2 way open and won’t completely raise the lower rod up enough to clear the lower door frame Looking inside the door at the mechanism, I don’t see anything worn out. It appears there is a gap prior to the actuator (8 on the picture) before it contacts the spring (33) to move the pull rod (25). The attachment point of he cable to the pull rod can be adjusted but this only raises the base position of the rod and it won’t lower enough to drop in and be secured by the door frame latch. The spring appears in good shape. Any ideas?
