I wasn't in the plane when this happened, so I can't give details on how it happened. I was told the vent window was open during takeoff and BOOM, the window cracked and pieces left. Has anyone ever heard of or seen this happen? Also, technically is one supposed to have the vent window closed during takeoff and flight? Thanks for any help. See the attached photo.
