Hi there. I have a PA28-181 (1978 Archer II) that needs its cabin door replaced due to metal cracking in the curved areas underneath the seal near the hinge attachment points.

I have called numerous used parts vendors - so far, all the doors have had the same or worse cracks than my original door.

My question is this: is the 79545-015 part which is - according to a Piper dealer - the current replacement part number for the door... is that part interchangeable with other PA28 doors? Is there a list of interchange parts? I've got an aircraft on ground and until a door replacement is found, it's grounded.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide!
