All,
Now that my battery issues are gone I've decided to focus on having shoulder belts installed in my trusty six. I liked the idea of a retractable shoulder strap for all of the obvious reasons so I went with the Alpha Aviation kit. However, when the pack from Alpha came in the other day I was surprised to see that approximately 18" - 24" of the harness remained out of the reel. I've pulled and played with both of them for the better part of 20 minutes with no reduction in the amount of belt out of the reel. I did place a call to Alpha today but I haven't heard back yet (I am quite happy that I'm supporting a family operation, though - so no complaints from me regarding a call back).

My question is this: has anyone that installed the Alpha retractable belts experienced something similar? Will the belts "wear-in" over time or do they dangle normally?

Thanks.

Ted
