Morehead-Rowan County (KY) Clyde A. Thomas Regional Airport Application

The Morehead-Rowan County Airport Board (Kentucky) is presenting the opportunity for a qualified individual or entity to operate a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) at its general aviation airport, Clyde A. Thomas Regional Airport (KSYM). The FBO selected will have defined a business plan to operate a successful business at the field to support airport and community initiatives. Under general guidance from the airport governing Board, the FBO will work closely with local, state and federal officials to improve facilities, provide quality customer service and open new opportunities to promote aviation. The FBO will work with the airport Board, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the KY Department of Aviation drafting strategic and tactical plans and initiatives. The FBO will perform, oversee and manage airport operations, and ensure operational safety and compliance with laws, regulations, and contractual terms. A multi-year contractual agreement between the Board and the FBO is desired and will be negotiated.
