Anybody have a secret for getting this done ? Three different Mechanics have looked at it. One has slowed it down. No one has fixed it.

Cherokee 180 G -- Lycoming O-360 -- 180 HP:

Oil puddles on top of the accessory case just behind the cowling baffle, just above the drive housing for the vacum pump. The leak is minimal. Total oil consumption leak included is less than 1QT/5 hr of flying. In 1 hr of flying on a clean engine, an oil film will show up. 5 hrs of flying will generate about a teaspoon of oil on top of the accessory drive case. The remainder of the engine remains remarkably clean. The accessory drive housing for the vacum pump, the shaft & seal within this housing have all been changed. This did slow the leak down a little. All of the mechanics have felt that the engine case was leaking where the two halves join together. This is ahead of the accessory drive plate and in front of the cowling baffle. However, this area does not even develop an oil film over a period of time. I am not the mechanic, but I do not see the trail of an oil leak where the case halves join up. Engine has about 400 hr SMOH. Everything else is perfect.
