My good boy Mark, had to hit the brakes on the freeway when a crazy dude pulled in front of him hit his brakes - at speed. Mark hit his too, the semi behind him didn't have enough room but had the mind to hit his brakes before Mark did, once the idiot red car pulled in front of Mark. The semi ended up on top of his trunk, pushing it down the road and to the right, into more traffic, also flattening his right rear tire.
He was smart enough to hit the gas and steer to the left ending up in the median, escaping further damage. Unfortunately his pride and joy, a 5 speed 2000 bmw 328 with only 108k was totalled. Ugh. Once I reviewed the damage photo, I saw the aopa sticker... I'm thinking if only the aopa or the other companies insured 18 year old brand new like bmws, like they do 50 year old airplanes. LOL. Fortunately, he only had a minor back injuries and went to work today. Ibuprofen is a life saver.
