It was real windy yesterday so instead of flying we went out & washed the plane. It had just a touch of dust on the wings & a few additional smudged areas. I had bought some 'no water' wash from Aircraft Spruce. It actually takes a little water, you mix the wash in & rub it on the plane with a clean sponge/wash mitt & then dry with a soft cloth. It worked rather well. I had been thinking about looking for a hose but now that I tested this system I can forget about that. For the most part it was just light dust on the wings anyway. I have some bug remover for the leading edges when needed. The wing was nice & clean when we got done. I didn't have any wax available but it would of went on easily with the clean surface.

I just didn't like the thought of the air dealing with that dust on the upper surface of the wing. Now it will have a smooth ride over a clean wing. Maybe a do-it-yourself speed mod.[attachment=0:38n6g1go]plane 023.JPG[/attachment:38n6g1go]
