no mic in rear intercom

Hello All - I am having an issue with the Mic jacks in the rear intercoms in my 1977 Archer - rear passengers can hear the front mics, but no mic can be heard from the rear passengers. I tested it with 4 different headsets - all work fine in front, but no mic transmission from the rear intercom jacks. I put an Airtex interior in 13 months ago, then a Lyc rebuild from April until October and haven't had a rear passenger until today - 13 months after the interior. I thought I tested everything after the interior redo, but not sure at this point. I opened the jacks - both look OK and clean to this non-sound man.

Any ideas?
