Plane is a '79 Archer. Pilot, Co-Pilot brakes and parking brake.

Friend flew the plane a couple weeks ago and reported "soft left brake". I checked it a couple days later and there was NO left brake. Mechanic checked and bled the system. Stated there must have been air in the line as brakes were now OK.

Went to fly the plane yesterday and guess what - NO left brake. Absolutely no sign of fluid on the carpet or below the wheel. Right brake is OK. How does the system get "air in the line" when it is just sitting. Do I just have a bad cylinder on one of the two left pedals or what?
