Hey guys!
My name is Steve Winegar. I'm originally from Madrid, Spain, but have been living in the US since 2011. I just got out of the Army in December, where I was a Blackhawk helicopter mechanic and crew chief. Unfortunately transitioning to a flight company meant I wasn't even close to getting my A&P... But it sure was a good time!
I decided to switch careers and am finishing up a master's in mechanical engineering next month. Can't wait to go back to earning money!
I live in Boston and will be here for three years while my fiancee studies medicine. We'll be moving somewhere warmer when she finishes. In the meantime, I plan to buy my first plane, likely a PA28 or PA22. I'll be posting about this shortly in the General Discussion forum.
