Hello, I am new to this forum,

I am an A&P that just made a deal with a co-worker to perform maintenance on his piper warrior in exchange for using his aircraft to fly. I am very excited, and have a few questions. I haven't flown in a while and I have to get current. My experience is in high wing aircraft (150s and 172s). Any tips for transitioning over to the warrior?

I want to eventually start doing some mountain flying because I live in the Sacramento valley and I am surrounded my mountains. Can anyone suggest some reading material for training? I plan to go up with an instructor to teach me the ins and outs. Also what kind of limitatioms can I expect out of a 160hp warrior?

Lastly, my A&P experience is all on business jets. What are some common issues that come up on a piper warrior that I should keep my eyes open for?
