Mt. Rushmore / Yellowstone

We are heading for a couple of days at Osh, and this year are musing to jjust keep on heading west thru the US, and take in Mt. Rushmore, and Yellowstone. Never been to either. A couple of years ago visted Washington & Montana and N.D., so going just a bit further south now.

Any suggestions or recommendations on these two destinations, or alternative interesting spots in that general line of flight are all welcome!
