MP unsteady - is this normal?

PA28R-200 Arrow. IO-360. On a recent flight I felt a bit more vibration than normal, even more than the previous leg that day -- though maybe this was because it was a quiet and otherwise smooth flight and I was just more aware. I pulled the EDM-930 data and I'm seeing this 0.3-0.4 bounce in the MP. Indeed, looking at previous flights, it's generally been there since the 930 was installed 5 years ago. As a side note, very occasionally, though not often, I have felt a minor and extremely brief "surge" in power especially during climb out.

So I don't necessarily assign this recent feeling to the MP, however, as I'm looking at the engine data, I'm wondering if this is a normal phenomenon and what causes it.
