So I took my first long(ish) flight in my new (to me) Cherokee 140 a week ago: Princeton to Montauk for lunch (flying up the south shore of Long Island), then over to Chester, CT, and back to Princeton. I kept thinking to myself "this is why I bought a plane..." ;)

I thought the $20 landing fee at Montauk (off season!) was a bit much, but the people at the airport were very nice and we had a great lunch at Fishbar, right on the water, just a 5 minute walk from the airport.

Went over to Chester just to look at the airport, since my dad summers near there and it would be nice to visit by airplane. Had do dodge some showers on the way back, as we went back to Princeton by skirting around the north end of the NY Class B airspace. All in all, it was pretty much a perfect day.
