I was there with my brother back in the early 90's. It's a full service remote fishing lodge with it's own gravel runway, no other easy way in. The location is about 30 miles(foggy recollection) or so East of Pickle Lake, NW Ontario. It's NNE ot International Falls MN. They have very good walleye & pike fishing, maybe some trout if you know where to go. There is a good writeup about this lodge in the Midwest Flyers(I think it's called) magazine/website. It gets very high marks as a do-it-yourself fly-in fishing destination, remote, but not to crazy. The airport even has it's own identifier, CPS5, 2500 ft.

I mention this because I'm half thinking about going there with my 2 boys(8,16) next Summer. It's hard enough to plan for ourselves, just wondering if anyone else considered a trip like this? It would take just a bit of planning but still much easier in cost & time than flying the Al-Can Hwy. Just wanted to throw the idea out there. I know Midwest Flyers has gone there for a few years, they may be up to every year now.
